I have been lax in updating the blog, as I post most of my updates on Facebook, and even that is less frequent than I like. It’s been four months since A Season of Storms came out, and I’ve been working on book 3, with the working title of The Whisper of God (formerly the Faces of God). It’s the holidays, of course, and there are plenty of distractions, but I’ve managed to put a few words down on the page.
I have resolved to write every day next year. I have a full time job to pay the bills, and it sometimes takes more of my time than I’d like, but I also like to eat and sleep indoors, so you know… there it is.
That said, I wanted to take the time, an in the spirit of the season, thank all my fans. It still seems odd to me that I have fans, but I am grateful to everyone of you. I don’t know if you realize that a few years ago, when The Rune that Binds was released, it was a desperate attempt to make money. I was out of work and nearly out of money. With almost no promotion by me, by word of mouth only, the book rose in just a few months to a point where it sat in the top 100 dark fantasy books on Amazon, and it was bringing in enough money to meet my needs.
I have been blessed, and I am mindful where that comes from. I know the second book took longer than many of you liked, and I have committed to writing more frequently so as to make sure the third book comes out in less time.
Once again, thanks to everyone who bought both the Rune that Binds, and A Season of Storms. I can’t tell you how much it means to me.
Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!
