Getting your book on your device is easy. Amazon has several options, but the simplest and easiest is to go to Amazon's Send to Kindle site, log into your Amazon account, and drag and drop the book into the upload box on their site (you can also click on the box, and it will open your file explorer so you can select the file that way). That's it. It takes a few seconds, and the book is now available to read on all your devices!

Unfortunately, I don't have time to look at manuscripts from everyone who asks me to. I recommend Critique Circle if you'd like to receive feedback on your writing. I am a member and was a moderator for a long time there. It is an excellent site and community of aspiring authors, and many CC alumni have gone on to have best selling books.

When I was a younger, in the seventh grade, I think. I wrote a short story called the Sanguinary Disciple, about Jack the Ripper. In the story, which was written as a journal (Much like Dracula or Frankenstein), Jack writes down his thoughts and what drives him to murder, and as part of it he "quotes" certain texts.

I don't remember what specifically I wrote, but when I got my grade back, I was docked for not providing citations for the quotes in the story. I explained that there was no source I was quoting from, that I'd made them up. That the teacher believed they were real citations made me realize I not only had the imagination, but a latent talent for writing well. I fell in love with the art almost from the start.
